Trip to Colorado for 2021 SummerÂ
Summer route starts with us in New Orleans. Packing up and heading to Colorado for the summer. Below is the planned overall route. We used Harvest Host on this route to do a double drive weekend to get from New Orleans to Lake Texoma TX.
First stop Crooked Hollow Golf Course outside of Shreveport LA. We parked right at the 18th hole and spent the evening watching the last of the golfers finish their rounds. They had a tournament that weekend so we got up early Sunday and booked it out of that little parking lot!
Next up was Lake Texoma Thousand Trails Campground. We spent a week here exploring the lake shore and meet up with a friend for dinner one night! The pool gate was locked when we went by but we did find the lakeshore!

Never did find out why the pool and hot tub were locked up.

Lake Texoma is one of Texas' many man made lakes.
After a week at Lake Texoma we continued on our journey to Colorado with an overnight stop in Amarillo Texas. Turns out the RV park we picked was right down the road from the famous Cadillac Ranch! We had to make a run over there! If you're in the area stop by, purchase some spray paint from the vendor on site and have some fun!
